David Lundal has been the System VP and CIO at Presence Health since July of 2014. Presence Health is the largest Catholic health system in the state of Illinois. With 12 hospitals, 27 long-term care and senior living facilities, dozens of physician offices and health centers, home care, hospice, behavioral health services and more. Previously, he was the leader of the IT organizations in Wisconsin in support of SSM of Wisconsin, Dean Clinic and Dean Health Plan. Dean Clinic, St. Mary’s Hospital Madison, St. Mary’s Janesville, St. Clare Baraboo and Stoughton Hospital were all recognized as achieving Stage 7 of the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model.
In 2009, David was invited by the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services to join the Wisconsin State Level Health Information Exchange executive steering committee. David has chaired the Standards and Architecture Committee since 2009 for the state and successor the Wisconsin State Health Information Network.
David is a native of Indiana where he earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his MBA from Bethel College. In 2011 David became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
